On Saturday, March 21, we took part in the Czech Cup Ostrava OPEN. We had two representatives, Bára Kadlečková and Max Kleisner. At this international tournament, both mainly gathered experience, as neither broke through in their matches. The very next Saturday, a group of judokas set out for the Mariánské Lázně Grand Prix, where ten of twelve competitors medalled. Gold medals went to Josefína Moudrá, Linda Fojtíková, Michal Váňa, Matyáš Rais, and Maxim Kleisner; silver to Tobiáš Hajný, Václav Kule, and Karolína Fojtíková; and bronze to Linda Haisová and Milan Čmolík.
After Easter we set out for Sušice. This time the tournament was for younger and older pupils. For the older pupils it was a qualifier for the Czech national championships. Barbora Kadlečková and Michal Váňa did best, both taking gold medals. Matyáš Rais and Linda Haisová fought their way to two second places, and Max Kleisner took third. I must also praise Milan Čmolík, who fought his way to the bronze medal match, but unfortunately it didn't work out.
Several of our fighters took part in two running races over the weekend of April 11–12 — the Pilsen Region Half Marathon and the Zajíc Run. On Sunday, April 19, we again held a judo seminar in our gym, intended primarily for the competitors who represent us at tournaments, because there is always something to improve.
