FOR PARENTS

Everything you need to know before the first training.

We've put together answers to the most common questions. If anything is missing, get in touch.

From what age can children join the club?

We accept children from age 5. The youngest group (5–7) trains through play — falls, coordination, basic grips. Children from age 8 train more technical throws supervised by certified coaches.

What does a child need for the first training?

For the first training, loose sportswear (sweatpants, t-shirt) and a water bottle are enough. Shoes are removed before stepping onto the tatami. A judogi (judo gi) is purchased after the first month, once the child confirms interest.

Is judo safe for children?

Judo is among the safest martial arts for children. Training begins with falls (ukemi), teaching the child to fall safely — a skill useful in everyday life. We train on certified sport tatami mats.

Where do trainings take place?

Trainings take place at our dojo at Sokolovská 1010, Dobřany (across from Káčko cinema). The registered seat of the association is at Lipová 1287.

How much does membership cost?

Membership fees vary by group. Specific amounts will be confirmed — either in the online registration or by contacting us.

Can I come and watch a training?

Yes — the first two trainings are free and without commitment. Just bring your child and approach a coach.
