After the holidays, straight back into battle. The final Czech Cup took place in Brno on September 7–8. We had three representatives there: Filip Hančík, Viktor Pinkava, and Matyáš Kobsa. On Saturday afternoon the U-18 (juniors) competition began, where Filip fought his way to the bronze medal match. In it, Filip handily dealt with an Austrian competitor and took third place. For Viktor it was his first big tournament, where he mainly gathered experience. On Sunday, Matyáš competed in the U-16 (younger juniors) category and also fought his way to the bronze medal match, but lost to his opponent, finishing fifth.
A week later, the Pilsen Region championships took place in Sušice, contested in the U-14 and U-16 categories. In U-14, Václav Kule, Jan Šulc, and Luboš Benedikt competed. Vašek and Jenda fought their way to third place, while Luboš did not get past his opponents. In U-16 we had two competitors, M. Kobsa and David Chmelík. Both overcame all their opponents and took first places. We are now preparing for the arrival of new members and for training toward the national younger juniors championships.
