Several events took place before the kids left for the summer holidays. On June 1, the penultimate tournament of the internationally attended series — the Czech Cup in Nový Bydžov — was held. Matyáš Kobsa took 3rd place in the younger juniors category, and Filip Hančík fought his way to 2nd place among juniors. A week later, Filip competed for the SG Plzeň team in the second round of the junior league, contributing points to the team's overall 2nd place. The team thus advanced to the league playoffs. The same day, the younger and older pupils fought at the Beroun Town Tournament. Among younger pupils, Max Kleisner beat all his opponents for 1st place, and Barbora Kadlečková confidently won her category, also taking 1st. Milan Čmolík also competed but did not reach the medals, and neither did Jan Vesecký among the older pupils.
On Friday, June 14, we said goodbye to the school year and celebrated the halfway point of the competition season with a campfire. Over the weekend of June 15–16, a Class III new coaches training took place in Blatná, attended by Adam Fojtík and Filip Hančík. A summer camp still awaits us during the holidays, where the kids will raise their performance KYU grades and fitness. On behalf of the RuKa JUDO club, we wish everyone a wonderful summer.
