Dear parents and judo athletes, the new 2026/27 season starts in September — bringing several changes to the schedule and to the club facilities.
Training starts in the week of 14 September — Tigers on Monday 14 Sep and Wednesday 16 Sep, Cubs and Juniors on Tuesday 15 Sep and Thursday 17 Sep.
Tigers (5–6 years) train on Mondays with coach Vlaďka and on Wednesdays with coach Karel, 17:00–18:00. From this year they can also attend twice a week.
Cubs (7–11 years) now train twice a week — Tuesdays and Thursdays from 16:15 — and each session is 15 minutes longer (until 17:30). More time on the tatami, faster progress.
Juniors and adults train on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17:30 (moved from 17:15).
Several children have moved up from Tigers to Cubs — they now train twice a week, so their membership fee increases by 600 CZK until the end of 2026. Parents concerned have received an e-mail with payment details and a QR code. If you have any questions, contact Karel — we are happy to explain.
If two sessions a week don't suit a child moving up to Cubs (schedule, commuting, other activities), contact Karel by 10 September — you can arrange once-a-week attendance and in that case no top-up fee applies.
And the biggest news: over the summer we built a new professional gym for our older competitors (approximately 14+). Strength preparation is the key to safe and successful judo — and our competitors now have facilities unmatched in the region. The gym is reserved exclusively for club competitors; it is not open to the public or parents.
Moving the weights and machines into the gym also freed up space in the dojo — we have expanded the mats and tatami. More training space for all groups! 💪🥋
And mark your calendar: autumn camp in Šumava, 2–4 October (Penzion Splněný sen, Kašperské Hory) — 2,300 CZK for the weekend, 1,500 CZK deposit at training, sign-up by 18 September. Details in the events calendar.
